St. John’s Convent School strives to collaborate closely with parents in order to support each student's development into a confident, competent, and compassionate individual. With this objective in mind, a parent workshop titled 'Healthy Parenting' was organized on October 30, 2023. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Ravi Mohan Sharma, a Professor of Psychiatry at VIMS, Gajraula.
During the workshop, parents were guided on the principles of mindful parenting, behavioral modifications, and conflict resolution. It was emphasized that young children are like pliable molds of clay, and this stage of their lives presents an opportune time to instill positive habits that will shape them into responsible citizens. The workshop provided parents with valuable insights and strategies they could apply in nurturing their children.
Moreover, the workshop served as a platform for parents to seek clarification from the resource person regarding various challenges they encounter while raising their children. This opportunity allowed parents to address their queries and concerns, enabling them to gain a better understanding of effective parenting techniques.
By organizing such workshops, St. John’s Convent School aims to foster a strong partnership between parents and the school, ultimately creating an environment in which students can thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.
