Guidelines for Students

  • The observance of rules of discipline and good behavior is essential to student's continuance in the school. The decision of the school authorities is final and binding on all the students in respect of rules/instructions framed for discipline and good behavior.
  • Expected Practices: All students must ensure
    1. To be regular and punctual in attending the school. Exemption from compulsory sports, games and P.T. is granted only after certified by the doctor for unfitness. Immaculate turn out in school uniform / house dress with proper hair style and grooming.
    2. Presence in classroom at all time while the class is in progress except with the permission (card) of the teachers. Switch off the lights and fans before leaving the class room. Do not crowd around in the corridors, near washrooms, water dispensers and sports ground, etc.
    3. Move from one place to another in an orderly fashion in a single line without making noise to avoid disturbance to others. Inform the teachers or school authorities, any known case of indiscipline and unusual happening in the school or while transiting in the bus, immediately.
    4. A minimum of 75% attendance is compulsory.
    5. Leave applied for should be a day in advance and through the prescribed form as given in this Almanac.
  • Forbidden Practices: No student is to indulge in any of the following practices :-
    1. Not adhering to the rules and regulations of the school.
    2. Use of unfair means in the examination.
    3. Disfiguring/damaging any school property.
    4. Board or alight from the moving bus or stand near the door.
    5. Smoking in and around the school premises.
    6. Any form of gambling or betting.
    7. Use of drugs or intoxicants except on prescription by the registered medical practitioner.
    8. Rude behavior, Use of violence in any form.
    9. Practice of untouchability or advocating of customs, communalism, or any such social ills.
    10. Viewing, reading, screening any kind of undesirable, vulgar material. Indiscipline, involving fighting, theft or any other act which may bring disrepute to the institution.
  • Striking off the Name from the School Rolls:
    The name of the student will be struck off from the school rolls for:-
    1. Non-payment of fees and other dues (if any) for 30 days after the last date of payment.
    2. Absence of a student without leave information to the school for 15 consecutive days.
  • Form of Disciplinary Measures: The following disciplinary action will be taken:-
    1. Verbal Warning by the teacher concerned and Written Warning by the teachers or school administration.
    2. Parents will accompany their ward/s to the school for counseling in such cases.
    3. Any further act of indiscipline beyond written warning will attract rustication / expulsion from the school without any verbal or written warning.
  • Every punishment awarded to a student will be documented.
